Meet Dr. Leanne Stevens! A Dalhousie University teaching fellow and acting associate dean academic. In this episode we chat about the benefits and challenges of open education. Dr. Stevens was one of the first recipients of the Open Educational Resources grant offered at Dalhousie University. This grant allowed Dr. Stevens to achieve her goal of making science accessible by creating a free textbook for a first-year undergraduate psychology and neuroscience course. Through this work, Dr. Stevens continues to collaborate with generations of students to incorporate a wide range of ideas into the ever-evolving textbook. Look forward to discussions about math camp, bearded fist fights, and rodent allergies.
